The 2008 season is up and running on the Big Island. They have had three ropings so far this season. They have over 100 members already and growing. This is looking to be another great year. The last roping of the year 2007 was GREAT! The rain refused to stop but that did not stop the ropers. The roping was moved to Brian Anderson's Arena (much mahalo to him and Fluffy for allowing this to happen).
The first roping was a Jr/Sr Roping with 73 teams. The next roping was a #8 Handicap Pick and Draw with 248 teams. There were 125 ropers in attendance who all had a great time. For those who weren't able to make it you sure missed an unbelievable roping. Check out the results below along with the other ropings. The other islands should be starting up soon and will hopefully see great results as well. Good Luck to all this year!!
For those of you who are new to our chapter, you will need to enter five days of ropings, AFTER YOU JOIN, to qualify yourself for our state finals. Also remember that you must enter our state finals if you plan to enter the national finals this year.
